The Tongjing Road North Extension Project starts from the south bank of Xitang River and connects to Sucheng Avenue on the north side. To the south, a tunnel is used to pass through Qingtang Road, Shantang River, Shanghai-Ningjing Intercity Railway, existing Beijing Shanghai Railway, and North Ring Expressway. The end point is at the intersection of Xiyuan Road and the current Tongjing North Road. The total length of the route is about 2.067km, and the design speed is 60km/h; The North Extension Project of Tongjing Road adopts a 13.25 meter diameter large cross-section slurry shield tunnel, which is the largest shield tunnel in Suzhou.
